Meet Coach Fitz!
“Growing up, I was a very active kid. There was a Youth Recreation Center in our neighborhood, so all of the local kids played whatever sport was in season. That lead to wresting and water polo in high school.
As an adult, I fell into a fairly sedentary lifestyle. Although I was chasing two kids around and coaching their sports teams, I didn’t invest any time into my own physical well being. A lack of exercise and poor dietary habits eventually ended up with me weighing over 215 lbs. and being unhappy with my body.
I had seen the banner for CrossFit Corona from the freeway, so I decided to give it a try. I came in and immediately fell in love with the process and with CrossFit Corona itself. I quickly changed my nutrition and found myself in the gym 5+ days per week. I really enjoyed learning new skills and trying to keep up with my new gym friends.
In 2016 I earned my CF-L1, started coaching at CrossFit Corona, and have since earned 10 additional CrossFit certifications.
I can’t imagine my life without CrossFit Corona and the friends I have made there. I look forward to coaching with this group for a very long time.”
Okay friends, we are a few weeks into the New Year. How are those resolutions going 😬?! ⠀
My husband and I made a joint resolution (sounds very official when I put it that way 🤣) to be more intentional with our time this year ⏰.⠀
For us, this means sitting down together before the start of a new month and penciling in things in our schedule that we value, but have not been making time for (date night, one-on-one-dates with our kiddos, exercise, etc.) 📆.⠀
Did you make any resolutions? If so, how are they going? Comment below! My answer is in the comments as well :)⠀

Haha no! This is an expensive gift & my husband is on a budget 🤣😁😂
#newyearsresolution this year is to spend more time outdoors! ☀️I used to hike and bike almost daily but this past year I comfortably settled into exercising at home ( yoga, Pilates, etc.) It made sense with my travel schedule and I could do it anytime, anywhere! But... hiking and biking made being active fun! And I miss that! Also, kinda miss that tan 😉 #fitness#fitnessgoals#2019goals
Holy moly I love fruit so much! I’ve been having this every morning post green or celery juice since starting the taste buds reprogramming.
I think green juice / celery juice is wonderful for those that like it. I personally love the taste. But, I’ll be honest. I don’t have it daily. I’ve been completely burnt out. I don’t wanna get the juicer out and put away. I don’t wanna have to wait to eat my fruit bowl. I skip it some days. This week, I realized I was doing it out of fear somedays. 1. I wanted to be like everyone else that was doing it (fear or separation). 2. I didn’t wanna no be detoxing when I could. Don’t get me wrong - some days I love it and look forward to it. But, not every single day!
So, since I dedicated this year (started nov 23rd on my 24th birthday) to doing everything out of love, I took a few days off and felt a lot more at peace about it. I’ll make my juice when I want to and I won’t when I don’t want to!
I definitely think that I got detox symptoms from the celery juice. It increased my energy. It increased my appetite too. It’s super refreshing! It taste very good and satisfying. It goes down easy. Some of my powerful green juices were so detoxing I felt like I could pass out after (during the the juice fast).😬
Moral of the story. Don’t do things out of fear. What you believe will heal you probably will and what you don’t, probably won’t. Listen to your body and your truth. You know what you need. Your body knows what it needs to heal. Fruits and veggies are powerful creations of God! Use them 💗
Fill your space with all that supports your highest self - body, mind and soul! Do what works for you and find your balance. Eating raw until dinner time works great for me and when I try to be like everyone else (I’ve tried Keto, vegan, all raw, low carb, paleo,.... all the diets and labels) and diet mentality makes me miserable. The ME diet is the only one that will work for me. Diet = pattern of eating. It doesn’t have to be for weight loss. So, find what works for your body. Eat in a way that supports you in serving the purposes of LOVE and claiming your HIGHEST SELF! 💗
