What are your favorite verses or books to study in the Bible?
I know I ask this all the time but I always come back to y’all’s comments when I’m reading my Bible or doing a Bible study and it’s so helpful. 😂
“After all this time?”
“Always,” said Snape.
What’s your absolute favourite Harry Potter moment? ⚡️✨
After finishing the movie marathon, now that I have watched all the movies as an adult, I’ve got to say, a lot of things have changed for me. For one, I am now extremely emotional over Snape’s character and all that story line. And by emotional, I mean big ugly tears.
For two. I am now 100% sure that contrary to what I believed (that the true hero is Longbottom), there are 2 true heroes: Hermione. And of course, Neville Longbottom.
Seriously tho, what the hell would have ANYBODY done without HERMIONE.

“You’re a storyteller. Dream up something wild and improbable," she pleaded. "Something beautiful and full of monsters." “Beautiful and full of monsters?" “All the best stories are.”
-Laini Taylor, Strange the Dreamer ✨
I spent Sunday afternoon finishing off my reread of strange the dreamer under the tree in our garden. It was so lovely just having some time to dedicate to reading. Especially this book because it’s one of my favourites. I’ve just started Muse of Nightmares and I’m scared and excited to see how this story will end.
What are you currently reading?
Micro Book Review // What a joy these books were to read. I loved following all of storylines and fell in love with the characters. I can understand some of the criticism people have about being able to keep track of all of the characters. There were a lot of different people and family lines and that did take some time to understand who all was involved in certain plot lines. I have to say though, I couldn’t resist all the far out destinations and lifestyles these people had. I found them to be just the escape I needed and this one was no different. I am sad to have no more books in this series to read but my fingers are crossed that there are more movies to come. How many of you read these books? Did you like them? I’d love to know!
This boy. He loves everything about the library, and he loves books. Timothy and I make it a point to read to him every day and night. We always have a wagon full of books in the living room, and make weekly visits to the library. It is such a good place to learn, play, and explore. Emmy has taken our passion to read and run with it. 📚 It makes my heart happy that he finds enjoyment in books, and desires to look through them. I hope he always has that desire, and finds himself with his nose in a book more often than not.

'tin man' is officially the first signed book i own, and sarah winman's reading was officially the first reading i had the privilege of attending. it was hosted by @bolenbooks about a month or so ago, and honestly, i think if it wasn't for bolen or my writing class i probably wouldn't have picked up 'tin man'. i know, i know; i went to a reading of a book i've never read and met with an author whose works i've never delved into, but sometimes it's just like that. at least now, 'tin man' holds a special little experience in my life, and i'm looking forward to reading it soon. 🖤
Lisa’s life revolves around her daughter, Ava. Jumpy and hypervigilant, Lisa’s past and the secrets she hides becomes increasingly suspenseful as she embarks in a flirtation with a client while still trying to shelter her daughter from the perils of the world. Ava, detesting her mother’s overprotectiveness, embarks on a secret flirtation of her own, juggling a risky social life with a secret virtual lover. When Ava saves a little boy from drowning and her photo—with Lisa in the background—is plastered on the front page of every newspaper and website in the region, life as they know it falls apart...in ways no one, not even Lisa, could have expected. ————
What a gripping read! I couldn’t put this one down and finished it in one sitting. I enjoyed the clear POV of the different chapters and getting a taste of the antagonist’s chilling thoughts. The plot moved along quickly and kept me riveted the entire time! Behind Her Eyes was the first taste I had of @sarahpinboroughbooks, and its twisty, mind-bending plot wrapup remains one of the best endings of a novel I’ve ever encountered. While Cross Her Heart didn’t have the slight element of the supernatural, it was just as thrilling and suspenseful!

I'd looovvveee to start seeing some reviews of Angel Town 📚 popping up on Amazon! So please, if you've read and enjoyed, don't forget to mosey back to Amazon and drop a holly-jolly review! It would really make my Christmas merry and bright. 🤣🤣❤🤣🤣
¡Hola!

Look at all dem books 👀 the last time I took inventory I was split pretty much right down the middle as far as read and unread books go. Of course, the only goals I have planned for 2019 so far are a bunch of rereads 😂
My list includes:
✨ Finishing Lord of the Rings
✨ Harry Potter (it’s been like 6 years... I’m due for a visit to Hogwarts)
✨ A Wrinkle in Time
✨ The Island of Dr. Moreau
✨ Slaughter-House Five
✨ Eragon Series
✨ A Walk Out Of The World
✨ The Dark Tower (time permitting!)
In my defense, most of these books I read a very long time ago and reading them now is going to be like reading them for the first time. I also never finished the last book in the Eragon series, but HAVE to reread 1-3 in order to read the 4th! I’m not a savage.
Other TBR goals to be to be determined. 🤷🏼♀️
OVERWHELMED. STRESSED. SUNDAY SCARYS ARE HERE.
girl, i hear ya. this is going to be a marathon week for me, too. and the teacher in me knows the scheduled activities that my students have...and it’s almost worse than mine 😳
instead of dreading tomorrow, pray about tomorrow. “cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you.”
share with God how you’re feeling, how your heart is, where your mind is, and ask Him to change your mindset from stress to peace. ...
remember to take one day at a time. and girl, give yourself some grace! i’m already planning when i’ll be taking naps 🙈, what fun face masks i’m going to use, prepped healthy meals for the week, and i’ll most like go to bed earlier than normal. i will still get up early to make sure i have Jesus time and get my workout in. i’m going to be selfish with my time in the morning and take care of me in the evening the best i can.
if you need some inspiration and comfort for your week, check out the following psalms throughout the week:
psalm 3- Gods amazing power to fight for you
psalm 5- wait for God
psalm 16- my soul is secure in Him alone
psalm 27- God is my stronghold. in Him i am secure!
psalm 37- commit everything to the Lord...and trust that He knows what is best for you
psalm 86- power of prayer
psalm 100- give thanks for everything!
praying for you 💕
Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, Angie Thomas’s searing debut about an ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances addresses issues of racism and police violence with intelligence, heart, and unflinching honesty.
Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed.
Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name. Some cops and the local drug lord try to intimidate Starr and her family. What everyone wants to know is: what really went down that night? And the only person alive who can answer that is Starr.
But what Starr does—or does not—say could upend her community. It could also endanger her life.
After Khalil got shot by a white police officer, Starr think every white people is a bad person. I was like what?? Her friend and boyfriend are white but they are nice duh. Goshhhh but I'm glad that I read this book coz it educate me more bout racism.
