In short, yes, your stuff is covered. In insurance, your stuff is referred to as contents or personal property.
If you were to pick up your house, flip it upside down and shake it, anything that falls out would be considered your personal property.
Companies vary as to how much personal property they put on policies. It is usually based on a percentage of the dwelling amount. Be aware of the amount on the policy. You want to be sure that you have enough coverage, while also not paying for more than you own.
Give me a call and let’s take a look at your contents coverage on your homeowners policy!
When shopping for home insurance, pay special attention to how your home is covered.
What does that mean?? 3 things to know: * Replacement Cost (RC)- the amount the insurance company will have to pay to replace your home at the current time. This amount is specified when the policy is written.
* Actual Cash Value (ACV)- replacement cost minus depreciation. * Extended Replacement Cost- an insurance company will pay the replacement cost in your home, plus a certain percentage more, which is specified at policy inception.
* Guaranteed Replacement Cost (GRC)- states that even if the damages exceed the limits in your policy, the insurance company is obligated to fully replace your property without deducting for depreciation. *TIP- Guaranteed Replacement cost or Extended Replacement Cost is the way to go!

There’s no place like home. It’s where you build your life, your family. It’s a fundamental part of who you are as a person. What if something happened to it?
Homeowners insurance is property insurance that covers: * Damage or loss to one’s home
* Loss of personal belongings inside the home
* Liability for accidents that happen on the property or Inside the home
If something happens to your home, it is a HUGE financial burden. Don’t risk it.
Give me a call, and let’s make sure you’re properly protected.
One thing to consider when insuring your vehicle is whether to put liability only on it, or go ahead and put full coverage.
Here’s the difference:
FULL COVERAGE: insurance that provides payment for all losses up to the policy limit without any deductions. (Pays for the damages to your car, even when you are at fault)
LIABILITY ONLY: insurance that includes Bodily Injury and Property Damage. (Pays the damages to the other party, but does not offer payment for your vehicle)
TIP: It is often more cost effective to put liability only on cars that are 10 years old or older.

I’ll be the first one to admit, before I started this job, I had no idea what a deductible was. Well, now my job is to pass my knowledge along.
nounNORTH AMERICAN (in an insurance policy) a specified amount of money that the insured must pay before an insurance company will pay a claim. *TIP: the higher your deductible is, the less your premium will be. Besides, most of the time, you aren’t going to file a claim for something under $1,000, so why pay the extra premium for it?? Give me a call and let’s talk deductibles!

You’ve just totaled the car that you bought 6 months ago, tragic, I know. No worries, your insurance is going to cover what your car is worth, but who is going to pay off the rest of your loan?
However, you can purchase “Gap Coverage” through your insurance carrier (might as well be me 😜). This coverage bridges the “gap” between what the insurance company says your car is worth and how much you still owe through your financing agreement.
