Dinner for all of us:
-Veggie-loaded mapo glass noodles
-Asian chive and egg stir-fry
-Sauteed shimeji and wild rice shoots
Dinner was Japanese-style Chinese food. I'm pretty sure neither mapo glass noodles nor Asian chive and egg stir-fry exists in authentic Chinese cuisine but they're both very popular "Chinese" dishes in Japan.
That said, I realized I actually have never made mapo glass noodles... In fact, K has actually never tried glass noodles before!
K first ate the daikon (surprise!) and the broth, then stopped eating. He was so skeptical of the transparent noodles it took him a looong time before deciding to try. Eventually, he pointed at the bag of nori sheets I left in the table and demanded me to give it to him. So I (reluctantly) ripped a small piece and wrapped the soggy mixure of the noodles and rice... and he was waiting with his mouth wide open (I fed him b/c by that time the noodle+rice mixture was too soggy for him to pick up with nori)!
With the help of nori, he ate 2/3 of the rice and noodles, and the egg part of the sautee, and I thought he was done...
After a bath, he came to the kitchen and pointed at the sauce pan that had leftover mapo noodles inside (which was going to be his lunch tomrrow...) and said "beiii (give me)...... peeese (please)".
So I gave him, and he finished the whole thing (about the same amount as what was served)😯
A pleasant surprise😊
Guess I need to cook for lunch tomorrow😁
Hidden or not, he eats veggies when he feels up to it.

(日本語/한국어⬇️) the weather was almost like summer, and I completely socked in sweat in my black suit on my way back from a job interview. pfff... let’s slurp all the big and small mistakes during the interview with this Bibim Guksu (비빔국수, Korean noodle dish mixed with spicy sauce)!
갑자기 날씨가 여름처럼 더워져서 면접용으로 입은 정장 속에서 땀을 뻘뻘 흘렸다. 하... 면접도 말아먹고, 비빔국수도 말아먹고ㅠㅠㅋㅋ
