📌Alishan, Chiayi County | The Sister Pond
Once upon a time, there were several aboriginal tribes on Ali Mountain.
A head of one tribe had two beautiful daughters, Avana and Avajia.
On the other hand, the other head had a only child, Moguru.
As a belligerent and arrogant hunter and intruder, Moguru was known as the bear of Alishan.
One day, when Moguru saw the Avana and Avajia during the hunting, a sense of lust aroused in his mind.
Surprisingly, as soon as Moguru approached the girls, the sisters of the tribal head fearlessly demanded the son to leave and brought the rest of the girls back home.
After several days, feeling ashamed, Moguru demanded the head of the other tribe for 50 skulls in the name of god.
Knowing it’s Moguru’s scheme, the sisters prayed and pledged to sacrifice themselves for saving others.
When Moguru and the hombres along came to the sisters’ tribe， the rain poured down, forming two lakes within the area. The surges of the lakes then immediately swallowed Avana and Avajia and evil Moguru. Since then, nobody has seen them again.
To commemorate the sisters’ altruism,Members of the tribe later named the lake as the Sister Pond.
