Rediscovering the basics of balance that enable growth.
That’s how I felt when holding this pose for a few breaths.
So many poses bring lessons beyond the physical knowledge and peaceful focus. I don’t always seek lesson, I actually prefer to keep my mind empty during practice. The seshs for iG pictures is when I let all kinds of emotions run through. The emotional and creative release is quite nice to have, especially when I don’t have a specific purpose for posting.
Beautiful Sunday 🦋
It had been awhile since practicing the ashtanga primary series, but today it was exactly what I needed.
Moving in breath from pose to pose and feeling that amazing mind/body/soul connection that has been eluding me while doing a regular flow.
My tendencies are to analyze and overthink the postures in order to gain knowledge.
A great thing to do most of the times, until practice starts feeling like a workout instead of a way of connecting with the self.
Flowing was my way of connecting and ashtanga was my way to grow. Today it was the opposite. I’m sure at some point it will be time to adjust again and thats just peachy.
In midst of your transformation, you might feel like everything is falling apart but in reality everything is coming together for your highest good. You’re being pushed to evolve and get out of your comfort zone so you can live and experience your true greatness.
