Can’t think of a better playful way to capture one of my favorite trees at home.
Never a gymnast, dancer, cheerleader
Physically speaking, all that I have shared in these squares has been learned through the practice of yoga.
It might not be a yoga pose but a perfect example of my yoga feels.
Fearless, creative, and playful strength which the heart then transforms into my deepest truth of acceptance, love and freedom.

Yoga wasn’t love at first sight.
My first class was at the gym after a friend recommended it. A few months went by and I had only attended a handful of classes.
It wasn’t until SUP yoga that my interest exponentially grew. It was the perfect combination of ocean vibes and dynamic meditation. I was in love.
Since then I’ve attended a yoga retreat in Goa, a YTT in Dubai, a few intensive short trainings in Bangalore, Miami and Chicago and two years of intensive group meditations in Geneva.
Now, six years later
I’m still in love.

“stay strong through your pain
grow flowers from it
you have helped me
grow flowers out of mine so
however you need
Not long ago I experienced what I believe was hate for another person. Surprising how pain can manifest in such a powerful and empty way. First time ever in my life to have such a feeling. So much heartbreaking emptiness. I didn’t numb the feeling, I rode the wave, I prayed hard. No longer consuming every cell in my body but leaving a pocket of scars that I will lovingly tend forever.
Until you spread your wings, you will have no idea how far you can fly 💙

Absorb each sensation
and allow it to move through you.
We can recycle what initially
feels like weakness into strength,
ultimately turning grief into empowerment,
like fuel feeds fire or wind
feeds seas and waves.
Remember that every feeling
and emotion is valid, and even necessary,
as we are complicated beings
made of energy, memory,
and immense love,
and were never
meant, nor made
to feel nothing

I haven’t decided my next running schedule. Usually, I use and repeat the half marathon schedule several times a year as a guide. But now I’m searching for speed. Any gain in speed would be great but for sure not at any cost. I’ve become a bit of a freak about injury prevention.
So far for the past month, I’ve been doing short runs. Mainly guided fartleks with the Nike app. The two hard, one easy intervals were a bit torturous at first. I’ve never enjoyed short distance runs unless they are beach runs. But now I’m kinda loving them. I can actually feel my speed slightly improving with some ease.
I do recognize that whatever I decide now will carry me to push through the frigid (below zero temp. - hopefully not) winter season. Crucial time for when spring time comes it helps to accomplish new goals. All because of the effort during the winter months. The momentum also helps to stay at a decent pace through the heat of the summer months. My favorite time to run. In turn it also allows me to feel good about slowing down around fall time before the beautiful running cycle again begins.

Camel pose is one of my favorite backbends. The pose is versatile in effort whether passive or in flow. I love that the benefits of the pose can be emotionally and physically absorbed more so in intention and purpose of breath regardless of depth.
No matter how much progress I make or perhaps how much I may regress. I’ve always felt depth of pose doesn’t always equal depth of soulful heart.

Balancing resistance and surrender or maybe just resisting to surrender💜
Idk, I tend to only practice any #pinchamayurasana about a handful of days every month.
I still have so much to learn about backbends before fully committing myself to daily inversions (besides headstand). The approach may take time but the comfort/safety level as I improve is worth it. 💜
Lovely morning xo☀️ox
