💥Anterior Shoulder Dislocation #FunctionalRangeSystems
• • •
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @kenjime_ is an amateur Muay Thai fighter that suffered an anterior dislocation of the left shoulder while battling in the clinch in his last bout.
Naturally, he developed apprehension in abduction, external rotation and reported closing angle pain during shoulder CARs.
Through the application of consistent, progressively increasing isometric loads (PAILs/RAILs), end range holds and lift offs, we created an environment that facilitated the necessary adaptations in the nervous and connective tissues to not only function in these ranges, but develop RESILIENCY in them.

Since the beginning of the scientific revolution (approx 500 years ago) I have yet to see ONE piece of legitimate literature that has shown that a single input into the biological systems leads to lasting change. Thats why i NEVER, EVER share IMMEDIATE before and after demos or photos. I consider them to be🐴 💩.
All inputs require training, time, repetition, and effort to make REAL lasting change.
In the image we have a client who I posted about a few weeks ago (check my feed). Image one is a still shot of his “shoulder” flexion. 4 weeks later (image 2)...we r starting to see the appearance of an actual shoulder. He is by no means finished his progress...but he is well on his way.
In this case we applied FRA to determine his capacities, FR Release to prime his system for change, FRC & Kinstretch to improve motor control of the scapula, Glenohumeral joint, and spine (improving spinal segmentation).
