इश्क़ को मज़हब याद नहीं रहा, साहब
शाज़िया व्रत रख बैठी सोलह सोमवार का। Just came across these lines and it perfectly suit this picture from my hometown where morning Aazan and sound of temple bells marked the beginning of our day.
Kolkata, whether the Britishers or the Left, whoever tried to put this city in shackles was driven out over a period of time.
Today, Bengal is undergoing a mega and an unfamiliar transformation, first of its kind. But the people in power, irrespective of whichever party they belong to, should know that this city has never followed anyone else's rules or conditions. It always moved/ survived the way she wanted. Try dictating your terms and she will kick you out.
That is how my stubborn city has been where you will find countless tales of love and heartbreak in every lane. Those memories will last forever in your heart. All you can do is smile and revisit it.
Love always, take care!
